Step-by-step instructions to set up, operate, and maintain your Trendora robot vacuum like a pro.

Unboxing & First Setup

1

Unpack carefully

Remove all packaging materials and tape. Check the box contains the robot, dock, power adapter, side brushes (Γ—3), HEPA filter, mopping pad, and cleaning brush. Keep the original box for warranty purposes.

2

Place the charging dock

Position the dock against a flat wall on a hard floor, with at least 0.5m of clearance on each side and 1.5m in front. Plug in the power adapter. The dock LED will glow white when ready.

3

First charge

Place the Trendora onto the dock contacts. The unit will beep once and the indicator will pulse orange during charging. Allow a full 3–4 hours for the initial charge before first use β€” this calibrates the battery for maximum lifespan.

4

Prepare the cleaning area

Remove loose cables, pick up small objects from the floor, and ensure room doors are open. For first-time mapping, let Trendora explore the full area β€” keep furniture in its usual position so the map is accurate.

5

Start your first clean

Press the power button once. Trendora will begin an automatic full-home mapping and cleaning session. This first run builds your home map β€” subsequent sessions will be faster and follow optimised paths.

πŸ’‘

Pro Tip: For the best first-run map, ensure all rooms you want cleaned are accessible and well-lit. Close doors to rooms you want excluded. You can always add or exclude rooms later in the app.

App Connection & Wi-Fi Setup

1

Download the Trendora app

Search for "Trendora" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The app is free. Create an account using your email address or sign in with Google or Apple.

2

Enable Bluetooth on your phone

Bluetooth is used for initial pairing only. Once connected to Wi-Fi, all communication happens over your network. Ensure your phone is within 3 metres of the Trendora during setup.

3

Enter pairing mode

Long-press the Wi-Fi button on top of the robot for 3 seconds until you hear two beeps and the Wi-Fi indicator flashes blue. Open the app and tap "Add Device" β†’ "Trendora Robot Vacuum".

4

Select your Wi-Fi network

In the app, select your 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi network and enter the password. Note: Trendora does not support 5 GHz networks. If your router broadcasts both, connect to the 2.4 GHz band specifically.

5

Link to Alexa or Google Assistant

In the app, go to Settings β†’ Smart Home. Tap "Link Alexa" or "Link Google" and follow the authorisation steps. Once linked, you can control Trendora with voice commands from any compatible speaker or display.

Room Mapping & Zone Management

1

Run a mapping-only session

In the app, tap "Explore" or "Map My Home" to initiate a mapping-only scan. During this session, Trendora travels through your home building a floor plan without cleaning, so it completes faster.

2

Label your rooms

Once mapping is complete, the floor plan appears in the app. Tap each room area and assign a name (e.g. "Living Room", "Kitchen", "Master Bedroom"). Labelled rooms can be selected individually for targeted cleaning.

3

Set no-go zones

Draw virtual walls or rectangles on the map to block areas you don't want cleaned β€” around pet bowls, charging cables, or delicate furniture legs. No-go zones are respected on all future cleaning sessions.

4

Schedule room-specific cleaning

Tap "Schedule" to set daily or weekly automated cleanings. You can schedule different rooms at different times β€” for example, kitchen and bathroom daily at 7am, and bedrooms on weekends at 10am.

5

Update the map after moving furniture

If you rearrange furniture significantly, run a new mapping session to update the floor plan. You can merge, split, or rename rooms freely. Multi-floor homes (Pro only) can save separate maps for each level.

Wet Mopping Setup

1

Attach the mopping module

Slide the mopping module into the underside connector until it clicks. The app will automatically detect the module and enable mopping controls. Attach a clean microfiber pad to the velcro surface of the module.

2

Fill the water tank

Remove the 400ml water tank from the module by sliding it out toward the rear. Fill with clean tap water or distilled water. You may add a small amount of Trendora-approved floor cleaner. Do not use bleach, vinegar, or essential oils.

3

Select moisture level in the app

Open the app and tap the water droplet icon. Choose Low (lightly damp β€” best for wood), Medium (standard mopping β€” tile & laminate), or High (deep mop β€” porcelain or stone). Start with Medium if unsure.

4

Exclude carpeted zones

Before starting, draw no-go zones over any carpeted areas on the map. When mopping is active, Trendora will avoid these zones. If no zones are set, use the "Hard floors only" mode in cleaning preferences.

5

After mopping β€” clean the pad

Remove and rinse the microfiber pad after each use. Machine wash at 40Β°C without fabric softener. Allow to fully dry before reattaching. Replace pads every 3–4 months or when they no longer come clean with washing.

⚠️

Important: Never use the mopping function on unsealed wooden floors, high-pile rugs, or delicate carpets. Always empty and dry the water tank between sessions to prevent mildew.

Troubleshooting & Error Codes

Place the robot on a flat surface and manually rotate both wheels by hand. Check for lodged debris, hair, or carpet fibres under the wheel assembly. Clean with a toothpick or the included cleaning tool. If the error persists, contact support β€” the wheel motor may need servicing.

Remove the dustbin completely and reinsert firmly until you hear a click. Ensure the bin is empty and the filter is properly seated. If the error appears repeatedly, clean the bin sensor contacts with a dry cotton swab.

Wipe the four cliff sensors on the robot's underside with a clean, dry microfiber cloth. Black or very dark floor surfaces can occasionally trigger false cliff readings β€” if this happens consistently, enable "Dark Floor Mode" in app settings.

Ensure the dock is in the same position it was during the mapping session. Avoid placing the dock in areas with strong direct sunlight or reflective surfaces, which can interfere with the infrared dock beacon. Try relocating the dock slightly and run a new mapping session.

Restart your home Wi-Fi router and wait 60 seconds. Power off the robot, wait 10 seconds, and power back on. If the issue persists, delete the device from the app and re-pair using the Wi-Fi setup guide above. Ensure no firmware updates are pending.
